About Examination Board

• The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has committed the duty of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
• Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is the eligibility examination organized by CBSE for teachers in schools. Under the Right to Education Act, Free and Compulsory Right to Education for children of six to 14 years, the teachers’ eligibility exams are being organized in schools to fulfill the lack of teachers and ensure quality education.
• Under this intelligence and qualifications of teachers at the primary and upper primary level are tested.
• There will be two exams of CTET examination in which the first exam will be for those people who want to teach classes from class one to fifth class whereas the second exam will be for those people who want to teach from class VI to VIII. Those who want to teach in classrooms at both levels. They have to take examinations of both the letters.
